This class is for anyone who has tried Roller Skating before and is looking to dive a little deeper into learning the skills! In this class you will go over all the basics of skating to get comfortable moving with eight wheels, then dive into more specific movements and some skate tricks! 

Skills include, but not limited to standing up, safety falling, skating forward, transitions, one foot balance, bubbles, moving backward, manuals, side surfing, spread eagle, spirals, shoot the duck & crossovers. 
  • Certified Helmet - Approved for Roller Skating (Mandatory for all participants, of any age during our classes)
  • Knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards are strongly encouraged
  • Roller skates only, we do not teach inline skates in our Learn to Skate programs
  • Need rental skates? Don't forget to add a roller skate rental to your cart prior to checking out. (If you decide to purchase, your remaining rental skate credit is transferable to a purchase of new skates from Sunshine Rollers Skate Shop)

* Our program is non-refundable or transferable. We do not offer partial refunds for missed classes. If the program is cancelled or partially cancelled due to provincial COVID restrictions; classes will be rescheduled for a later date. If the program isn't filled to minimum capacity (8 registrants), you will be refunded in full. *
